I am invited to a party by mo willems5/10/2023 The conversation between the friends flows smoothly and allows beginning readers to practice expression as they read. This feature is a nice touch that facilitates paired/choral readings. Both books use speech bubbles gray ones for Gerald, pink for Piggie to tell the entire story. With the help of Piggie, he is finally able to ask them to move, but, as the final page reveals, they have become her problem. In the second title, Gerald learns that there are worse things than a bird on your head, namely, two love birds, a nest, and three hatchlings. Imagine her surprise when they find all the other guests as lavishly overdressed as they are. Piggie's expressive features show her questions about their attire, but the friends set off bedecked in flippers, masks, top hat, pearl earrings, cowboy hat, and evening dress. The elephant, however, has a tendency to overanalyze, so he prepares them both for any contingency a fancy/pool/costume party. When Piggie receives her first invitation to a party, she asks Gerald to join her and relies on his advice because he "knows" parties in order to prepare for the big event. Beginning readers familiar with Willems's books will recognize his distinctive humor and illustrative style in these stories.

Here are Campbell’s (i.e., the original) three stages in hero’s journey: A Hollywood screenwriter, best known for working with Disney, Vogler expanded on Campbell’s three stages and defined 12 stages of a hero’s journey. While Campbell had originally proposed the hero’s journey structure, Christopher Vogler elaborated on the concept in his book, The Writer’s Journey: Mythic Structures For Writers (1992). Understanding Hero’s Journey In The Context Of Women’s Leadership.Let’s look at the various ways in which Campbell’s hero’s journey makes sense in workplace settings. The ability to go on an adventure, learn a lesson, be victorious and gain new knowledge are the defining principles of true leadership. Much like this classic plot structure, businesses value individuals who can rise to the occasion and persevere despite the challenges. Despite facing conflict and hardships, the hero returns home, triumphant and transformed. Joseph Campbell’s hero’s journey was part of his idea of the monomyth-a common story structure in which a character ventures into the unknown to retrieve something they need. It was Joseph John Campbell, an American literature professor, who introduced the stages of a hero in his book, The Hero With A Thousand Faces (1949). Whether it’s books or movies, fiction down the ages is replete with stories that focus on a hero’s journey. Storytelling is one of the oldest forms of communication and the archetypal hero continues to be a key component. Therefore, when your product inspires an emotional response, it’ll also generate word of mouth. When people get emotional, they like to talk about how they’re feeling and what made them feel that way. In this section of our guide, we’ll explain Berger’s two methods for keeping an audience engaged: inspiring an emotional response and telling a story. From this perspective, engaging an existing audience is a cheaper and more profitable way to generate word of mouth than attracting new customers.) Studies show that gaining new customers can cost more than five times as much as keeping customers you already have-and that increasing customer retention (how many customers you consistently keep) by 5% can increase profits by anywhere from 25% to 95%. (Shortform note: Some experts argue that engaging an existing audience is more important than finding a new one. Someone who sees your product but quickly forgets about it won’t generate word of mouth, while someone who’s interested will think and talk about it much more. Step #2: Engage Your Audienceīerger explains that attracting an audience for your product isn’t enough-you then have to keep them interested in it. Twisted love cora reilly5/9/2023 (and i know these series’ are fabricated in the realm of the unrealistic, but some aspects, such as Kiara’s rape in the second book was handled really well, and i loved her and Nino. she just romanticises the entire traumatic ordeal to fit her storyline, so the whole thing was unrealistic in that sense. he continuously threatens, objectifies and degrades her, and i honestly would have expected more trauma from a victim of kidnap, but i think that was the issue- Reilly didn’t even portray Serafina as a victim and glossed over the realities of someone being held captive. but honestly it did just feel like Remo raped her and used small acts of kindness to manipulate her. Id assumed things weren’t what they seemed from Dante’s POV. and i wanted to see how things ACTUALLY went down between Serafina and Remo after reading everything from Dante’s POV first. i read Bound by the Past first so i knew the general gist of this book so it piqued my interest before id even started this series. The whole book made me sooooo uncomfortable. all the Falcone men are trash- but not you Nino baby, ily. but this book is one of my thirteen reasons why. Now, a disclaimer: im not in anyway shitting on people who enjoyed this book. Doja Cat and Jared Leto, for example, arrived dressed as Lagerfeld’s beloved cat, Choupette. Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Campbell, and Jennifer Lopez all walked the red carpet in line with theme, while some stars took more creative liberties in their Met Gala looks. For the third option, guests were recommended to “find a Choupette,” the name of the designer’s beloved Birman cat, and “dress à la Lagerfeld”. They could also opt for “modern-day” looks by Chanel or Fendi, two brands where Lagerfeld once held the role as creative director. In line with the theme, guests were informed that the “most authentic approach” for the Met Gala 2023 dress code would be “to wear an archival look from one of the labels Lagerfeld led”. This year’s Met Gala theme was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”, which aimed to “examine the life” of the late designer’s fashion legacy. The steady stream of star-studded guests began to peter out early as celebrities made their way inside The Met museum, leaving behind what many people on social media called an “empty” red carpet. While many celebrities showed off their best Karl Lagerfeld-inspired looks, the Met Gala red carpet appeared to end early as viewers were urged to hold tight for more arrivals. The stars arrived at the annual fashion event on Monday 1 May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The 2023 Met Gala red carpet has abruptly ended.
